Wat Rong Khun,The White Temple

Wat Rong Khun is a curious Buddhist temple located in Thailand. Its color and unique design each year attract tourists. The design was by Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat and its construction began in 1997.
The level of detail that has this temple is one of its main features. Everywhere in the temple sinuous human figures and animals waiting at every turn. To enter the temple must pass a bridge under which there is a section of water and stand as hands for help.
Wat Rong Khun is the only temple of its kind that has a ubusot, a sort of meeting room. The ubusot is decorated with white crystals. White means purity and crystal Buddha, his wisdom. The details of the drawings are decorated with gold ubusot.
The main part of the temple was completed in 2008, however, the complex will include nine buildings, and construction could take up to 90 years, according to sources.
Information for travel to Thailand

- Clothing: During the spring and summer, light cotton clothes are best, as well as sunglasses and comfortable shoes. During the summer, it is advisable to bring a coat and a raincoat. In the fall and winter, jersey, jacket and raincoat, and in any season, comfortable footwear for hiking.
- Recommended time for travel: The best season is from November to February, because temperatures are too high and hot during the months of March, April and May and the rainy season from June to September.
- First aid kit and cautions: According to the Ministry of Health, it is advisable to go vaccinated against typhoid, hepatitis A and B, keeping up to date tetanus vaccine. Malaria risk exists throughout the year in all rural areas and in border areas with Cambodia and Myanmar. Not so often, in major cities or tourist resorts.
