The best in Latin America for surfing

With thousands of miles of coastline on both sides of the isthmus of Central America is becoming one of the best surfing destinations around the world.

The surfing can be practiced in Central America varies from country to country. While the Caribbean coast of Belize and Honduras, for example, have few or no waves worth surfing, countries bordering the Pacific, Costa Rica and El Salvador, are widely recognized as the best in Latin America for surfing.

1. Surfing in Nicaragua:

The surf beaches in Nicaragua are the most popular beaches and is located near San Juan del Sur, such as Playa Maderas and Majagual Beach. A little further north, Playa Gigante and also offers attractive Popoyo breaks. Much further north, Nicaragua has many surf beaches without the crowds that are in the south, where the busiest beaches, including Playa Jiquilillo.

2. Surfing in Costa Rica:

Jaco Beach is probably the most famous surfing beach in Costa Rica. Costa Rica also has great beaches and surfers as Playa Dominical Playa Hermosa. Further north of Costa Rica is the Nicoya Peninsula, Playa Grande near Tamarindo, another ideal place for surfing in Costa Rica.

3. Surfing in El Salvador:

Most surfers in El Salvador come to the beaches around La Libertad. An ideal place in El Salvador is the ” Wild East “, which offers a series of jumps of virgins, as Las Flores and Punta Mango.
